The Client Service Specialist position provides customer service support to both internal and external customers. Duties include working directly with patients to assist with the admission and services process, review insurance eligibility and financial responsibilities and schedule appointments. This position will have cash handling responsibilities and will also assist clinical staff with their schedules and complete other tasks that contribute to the day to day functions of the department.

  • Greet, educate and instruct patients through admission and services process
  • Verify patient information and check in patients for scheduled appointments
  • Notify patient of insurance benefits and financial responsibilities
  • Answer telephone and direct calls appropriately
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Manage clinical schedules and assist clinical staff as needed
  • Monitor account balances, payment plans, and collection reports
  • Cross-train with county client services staff and help cover county offices when requested
  • Preform cash handling responsibilities and daily reconciliation of cash drawer
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

High School diploma or Equivalent Required. 

Preferably with a concentration in office procedures.

 

Minimum of one (1) year in an office capacity preferred; computer experience, including spreadsheet and word processing; billing experience in a healthcare setting desired; excellent verbal, written and math skills desired.
