Job Description



The individual in this position will assist in the development and maintenance of health and safety programs and services to all Bowen Center employees. Individual will be responsible for overseeing infection prevention efforts and employee screenings which are required by the Center’s accrediting body. Driving between Bowen Center service locations will be required.

  • Responsible for all aspects of infection prevention and control strategies and duties, including investigation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Provides staff education regarding infection prevention and control.
  • Serves as a resource to staff members who have questions regarding client infections, infestations, etc.
  • Oversees annual employee screenings and vaccinations as required/recommended by Bowen Center’s accrediting body, ie., TB testing, influenza vaccination.
  • Investigates and reports medication errors discovered in the outpatient, inpatient, and transitional living settings.
  • Works with Director of Nursing to develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control, medication error reporting, and various other medically related policies as necessary.


$40,000 - $60,000/year

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor or Associate degree in Nursing or LPN Completion Program
Certificate or Professional License: Licensed Nurse in Indiana.
Experience:  Preferred minimum of (1) year of working as an Occupational Health Nurse.
