Job Description

Full time - 3rd shift (11p - 7a) positions available.

 

Mental Health Technicians will work in Bowen's Transitional Living Facilities, Casa De Bowen/Harmony House. This position’s primary focus is to assist adult consumers through advocating, teaching, demonstrating, monitoring, and/or role modeling new, appropriate skills in an effort to build self-sufficiency. Mental Health Technicians may be responsible for transporting clients for appointments and other activities that enhance community access.

Technicians may also provide a limited amount of case management services. A caseload will consist of adult population with serious mentally ill diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Inform clinical staff of observations of patient's functioning, behavior, comments.
  • Develop knowledge of treatment planning model and philosophy.
  • Use approved patient de-escalation techniques.

Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.                             

Elementary knowledge of First Aid, CPR certification, psychiatric nursing practices, problem-oriented charting.
